Overview:
This innovative 3 day pre-course, which precedes the flagship UCSF Management of the Hospitalized Patient course, provides an in-depth and engaging experience for hospitalists who seek clinical skill development. Participants will join faculty at UCSF Medical Center to participate in small-group learning in 4 domains: Critical Care Medicine, Hospital-based Neurology, Hospital-Based Dermatology, and Surgical Co-Management for the Hospitalist. Attendees will also receive hands-on procedural training (e.g., use of ultrasound guidance) and sessions focused on interpreting radiographic studies, building diagnostic acumen, and conducting a root-cause analysis.

The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

This Live activity, Hospitalist Mini College, with a beginning date of October 24, 2011, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 19.00 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
