This innovative 3 day pre-course, which precedes the flagship UCSF Management of the Hospitalized Patient course, provides an in-depth and engaging experience for hospitalists who seek clinical skill development. Participants will join faculty at UCSF Medical Center to participate in small-group learning in 4 domains: Critical Care Medicine, Hospital-based Neurology, Hospital-Based Dermatology, and Surgical Co-Management for the Hospitalist. Attendees will also receive hands-on procedural training (e.g., use of ultrasound guidance) and sessions focused on interpreting radiographic studies, building diagnostic acumen, and conducting a root-cause analysis.

This Live activity, Hospitalist Mini College, with a beginning date of October 24, 2011, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 19.00 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
